The Marcolivia Duo in concert at 1pm October 24th, 2015
In the Coleman room at the Churchland Branch Library 4934 High Street West.
The Marcolivia Duo has been featured many times on NPR’s “Performance Today” and “Front Row Washington”. They have performed at the Kennedy Center, Strathmore, Merkin Hall and Symphony Space, NYC.
For an afternoon concert, Marcolivia will perform and talk about folk-based music of Eastern-Europe and America. Their music will include folk dances from Czechoslovakia and Hungary; Klezmer music of Israel, and an American Hoe-down, amongst other jazz-based styles.

Mother Goose on the Loose is an early learning program that incorporates books, rhymes, songs, musical instruments, finger plays, flannel board characters, puppets and other props to help young children learn the pre-literacy skills needed to become successful readers. The program is fast-paced and fun to keep up with active little minds and includes tips for parents.

This group is still forming, so bring your ideas for books you would like to read to the next meeting. We meet the third Tuesday of the month at 11 am.
