The Harry Potter Lexicon - Broad coverage and detailed information on the people, places, and things in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series of children's books. Includes an atlas of Hogwarts, encyclopedias of potions and spells, bestiary, quidditch handbook, and a guide to other resources concerning the world's favorite wizard-in-training.

Scholastic.com, Harry Potter - This fun site for fans of the Harry Potter books by J. K. Rowling includes information on the series, schedules of book release parties in the U.S., interviews with the author, a discussion forum for comments, pronunciation guide, glossary, trivia game, and other recommended titles. From Scholastic, the American publisher of the books.

The Sugar Quill - This searchable, volunteer-run archive of Harry Potter fan fiction (short stories based on J.K. Rowling's novels, written by devotees of the series) and art has the aim of "encouraging people of all ages to write, and to strive to become better writers, by allowing others to beta-read and make suggestions to help them." Potter enthusiasts are encouraged to "have fun and obsess freely" on several discussion forums relating to the books and the art of writing.
