Every Child Ready to Read @ Your Library

Every Child Ready to Read @ Your Library is a program for parents, grandparents, and caregivers of children ages birth to five. Each program helps participants discover how to provide pre-literacy skills needed for success when children reach Kindergarten. There are three different classes: Early Talkers, Talkers, and Pre-Readers. Each class lasts about one hour and is presented by a Library staff member.
At least 10 participants are required for this program.

Motheread/Fatheread

Motheread/Fatheread is a program to help parents improve their own reading skills, help their children become better readers and thinkers, and improve family communication. Classes use children’s books and adult literacy pieces as a springboard for discussion and activities. Works great in partnership with young parent groups, and grandparent groups. Can also benefit GED classes. Programs are offered once a week for four or six weeks. Five to ten participants are required for this program.
