Allplasticbottles.org - "The main goal of any recycling program is to maximize public participation, increase amounts of post-consumer materials recycled and minimize contamination. Collecting ‘all plastic bottles’ is an excellent way to achieve higher recovery rates for plastic bottles, especially PET and HDPE, and reduce unwanted contaminants in your program at the same time."

CollectiveGood, Cell Mobile Phone Recycling - Learn how to recycle your old phones in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.  You can even select the charity you want to help.  Donations may be tax deductible.

Co-op America: Economic Action for a Just Planet - The Green Pages Online lists thousands of socially and environmentally responsible products and services. Also has an extensive personal finance section for tips, suggested readings, and links on topics from mutual funds to bartering. Find information on the anti-sweatshop movement, a list of ongoing boycotts of companies and products, and tips for forest-friendly living. Companies, too, can find "advice, resources and contacts to help turn social responsibility into business success."

Earth911.org: Environmental Recycling, Reuse & Renewal - "The Nation's Premier Environmental Resource", this site tells you everything you want to know about recycling, air quality, electronics, climate change, automotive, lead, composting, etc.  Find a Recycling Center near you, learn about "Green Fashion", and find out what "Burning Man" is all about....

EPA: Environmental Kids Club - Environmental education for elementary school students, emphasizing games and activities about conservation, recycling, global warming, Superfund sites, and more. Also find resources for teachers. From the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

EPA: Wastes - Recycling/Pollution Prevention - Links to a variety of EPA programs and initiatives that promote recycling and waste minimization by explaining their benefits, sharing new technologies and their practical application, and providing access to important data and publications in this field. There is a section of the site for kids too. 

The Groundwater Foundation - Provides information on groundwater basics, hydrologic cycle, contamination, wells, conservation, protection, and recycling. Includes a glossary and the Kids Corner.

Human Footprint - "Everything you eat. Everything you drink. Everything you use. Your entire life's consumption. In one place at one time."  Get a visual of the impact each human has on the Earth, read "Trash Talk" or "What you do counts", see videos, read the blog, and more.  From National Geographic.

Operation Paperback - "Recycled reading for our troops".  This non-profit, grassroots program founded in 1999 collects gently used books and sends them to American troops deployed overseas.

Recycling for Charities - "Donate your old cell phone, PDA, digital camera, iPod, ink or toner cartridge to be recycled and benefit the charity of your choice! RFC is a non-profit organization helping other charities. Cell Phone Recycling Works!"

Resin Identification Codes from American Chemistry Council - Ever wondered what those numbers mean on the bottom of your plastic containers.  Here you'll find a chart that lists the recycling codes (1-7) found on plastics, with descriptions, and information about properties, packaging applications, and recycled products.
